Health Care The Number One Threat

Be sure you write to http://change.gov with you Health Care concerns and problems with the Insurance Companies.

I will be writing my own blog on my own horrific troubles shortly.

Blair House: No Vacancy Mr Obama

President-elect Obama and family have to move into the Hayes Adams hotel until the 15th of January since President Bush says Blair House is not available until the (scheduled / required) 15th of January.

This op-ed which is well worth a read and the attached comments are ten times worth being read. I take liberty to quote one here, but there are many.

I gladly join these people in asking the media to find out the who, what, and why of BLAIR HOUSE not being available per Mr Bush for the Obama family. When you consider the importance to his children who start school and have to be in DC.

The bigger story is - who is staying at the Blair House and
why are they more important than the President-Elect and his family? If the
current lame duck prez & his family are STILL important although very much
irrelevant at this time - then why are the Obamas not as important considering
they are MORE relevant than the sitting president?
NYT - do a little digging.
Who is at Blair House? Why are they so important to be there at this time? Other
incoming presidents have moved in earlier in previous years. Obama’s request is
common.
In my opinion, this just comes to show America how much of a mistake
Bush has been even up to the very last minute. The best day will be when we do
not have to have him anywhere near the WH again!

Hold Bush Responsible for the Damage

When Mr. Bush officially takes his leave in three weeks (in reality, he checked out long ago), most Americans will be content to sigh good riddance. I disagree. I don’t think he should be allowed to slip quietly out of town. There should be a great hue and cry — a loud, collective angry howl, demonstrations with signs and bullhorns and fiery speech

A Christmas Present for the Gay Family

This is almost a Christmas present for the Gay and gay friendly family. With the Honorable Attorney General of California. taking our side against Prop 8.
Needless to say he will also be on our side on the annulment issue of those currently married!!
The far right must be just screaming. hehehe

Auto Bailout

Someone needs to clarify the term SHAREHOLDERS. I do not think that that means only stock holders.
-------------------------------
One of if not the largest problem for the auto makers is the Auto Union. Getting paid 90+% of your wage during a lay off - get real. Glad to see the Auto Bank (sic) is suspended is a good move for today. But it has to go. All the Auto Union persons should by insurance, like Aflac.

Is there another industry that has such an unfair benefit.......Think people you are paying their wages/salary in the price of a car and when you add all the benefits that comes close to $70.00 per hour or a one week layoff costs $2,800.00; The month off well just a truffle more $12,040. [TWELVE THOUSAND AND FORTY DOLLARS] per month per person who is part of the union. Just think of that cost burden.

Those of you in management you would not have a job if you wrote a Purchase Order for that at your firm would you??

U. S. A. Declairs War On Global Warming

These very strongly background ed people mean that our President-elect is going to take Science, Technology, and Global warming on head on!! Further it will not be on the back burner as President Bush kept all sciences; often what was reported was twisted or just an out right item of misinformation.

More Information at these links:

"Today, more than ever before, science holds the key to our survival as a
planet and our security and prosperity as a nation,” the president-elect says.
“It’s time we once again put science at the top of our agenda and worked to
restore America’s place as the world leader in science and technology.”

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1208/16765.html

CHICAGO – Seeking to draw a distinction with President George W. Bush, Barack
Obama named his top science and technology advisers Saturday and pledged to
“once again put science at the top of our agenda.”

The president-elect campaigned on a promise of treating science differently
than Bush, whose administration was criticized by scientists as ignoring
research and distorting facts suit its own ends.

Move To Annul Gay Marriage In California STINKS!!

Well is not this a wonderful Christmas present from the idiots of the far right. To hell with them. The Attorney General said thos already married are valid. Will the State take the side of the gay's or change hats and join the wrong right.

Gays Should State Their Displeasure

All gays and those that feel offended with our President-Elect's choice for the Inauguration speech should be sure to voice there displeasure if polled by any Polling firm. Obama needs to really hear our displeasure; where it hurts. In his polling numbers let him know we are a number to be counted.

OBAMA'S FIRST REAL STUPID MOVE

What the Hell. Was our President-Elect NOT thinking.

Let's pray this is why he made this uncaring move. And not that he is suddenly anti gay.

No we are not making a mountain out of a mole hill, thank you very much!!!

Arizona Is It A Lost Cause???

When are the do nots like Arizona going to get their act together and help our country be ready. But then Arizona is all ways last in all the polls - it is disgusting, for a state who has the 5th largest city and a [now] republican government.

Am I griping you bet I am. I am also an Arizona resident, since 1965, as well as a registered voter. I have over time lost count of how many letters I have written to both the State and Federal government asking us to improve. To no avail!!

Medicare Drug Plan Criticized As Very Unfair

Medicare does it again under President Bush as he said he would he has now made the cost of the Medicare Drug plan cost lots, and LOTS more.

They state incorrectly that there is assistance for low income people. As one of those people let me be clear: The assistance is only for those who's gross income is less then 150% of the poverty level. There are no adjustments for COL or Rent etc, to get assistance you have to be in poverty no matter what your drug bill will be for a given period.
As an example I miss the target level by less then $100 per month and have a drug expense of
over $500. per month -- still no assistance. You can die to try to go to an ER every week.

That's right no exception for life saving drugs or pain medication nothing just one specific dollar amount.

God I pray president-elect Obama will help us, sooner then later.

Give The President-Elect A Chance

When in the name of God, will the Nay Sayers give our President-elect a chance? He has already done more then any prior transition team has ever done.

A little Golden Rule and “If you don’t have something nice to say, DON’T SAY IT” would be most helpful, to one and all.

GM & Company, Bailout or Bankrupt

If we had not started bailouts, we would not now be considering it. Dozens on models and gas hogs do not help the country.

GM is an old old company that has not even come to the 21st century. One of their senior VP's has stated that Global Warming is, I think the quote was, bullshit.

Taxpayers should not pay for their errors.

A Set Of Rare Words and the Secret Service

Thank you

It should not be a rare thing to see the words "Thank you", but it is of late.

Linked is an op-ed written by Colbert King of the Washington Post, this op-ed is for sure in the top five articles that I have read in the post-election time period.

For me I was amazed and very happy to see thanks given to the United States Secret Service. We have all read about the plot to attempt to murder then senator Obama; but of no surprise whatsoever you can read that there have been many. You can bet a buck that President-Elect Obama's detail (that is what you call the men and women who in total Gard him) will be huge. Huge in comparison to say that of President Carter. To be sure when he is on the road and in the open.

These men and women are very special. We all read all to often of the death and injury to the people of the law enforcement community and at each instance shake our heads in disdain - or YOU SHOULD. Lets just hope and Pray that all the nuts are caught way before they get close to the first family and one of them has to lay his life on the line.

Today, Saturday November 8th, I caught the tail end of a news story on two such outstanding men, on the Today Show. One of them (Secret Service man) had a rare liver illness and needed a live partial transplant. After all normal donors were deemed not a match his partner got tested and WAS a match. So much is the depth of the friendship of law enforcement partners that he had the co-operation to give part of his liver to his partner so he could live. Both men, thank God, are okay and have returned to service, in the Presidential Detail.

{I tried to find the video on the Today Show's web site to no avail. I emailed them but doubt there will be any reply. IF there is i will edit this story at that time.}

Obama for President: Arizona the End Game

Would it not be outstanding if Senator Obama sank Senator McCain aka McSlime in his home state.

According to AZ/PBS Obama is ahead 2 point from 27 ahead in September.

McCain according to the Gallop dailies' has not been ahead at all that I know of: To-day's Obama is ahead 5 points.

Add this, To-day the Obama campaign officially said it is starting a run here an end game {my words} for Arizona.

President Obama's First Test & Opportunity

Well new elections take all chance of an early peace prize in Israel away from President Bush, and that is not a bad thing.

What it will do is create a major diplomatic item on the desk of the newly elected President Obama: I think we know that Sen. McCain has lost the election already. Especially if you take into account the early ballot numbers.

New York Times: Barack Obama for President

This makes two days in a row that there has been great Sen. Obama News that I have read late at nite and thank the media for. You need to read this very enlightening editorial / op-ed as there are BIG BITS of information on McCain that are BAD that I did not know.

No cavalry coming for McCain

AMEN.

I have read very few articles directly dealing with Senator McCain (who I now call McSlime) since he named Governor Palin his VP choice. But this Politico article's title (No Cavalry Coming For McCain) made it a must read. Further to that end I have posted this article to every Web / Social site that I am a member of, eg., Digg, Mixx, StumbleUpon, etc.

This quote from the article was well cool. "“Republican donors, at the end of day, aren’t stupid,” said another Republican familiar with third-party activities this cycle. “They’re not going to throw good money after bad.""

I was so relived to read that the McCain campaign and the GOP are both thought to have lost any chance of magic funding to try to really go after Senator Barrak Obama. What were they going to dig up, is just more of the same. I am sure it would have been further slanted, twisted and made to be no longer an event of the past, but now a slur or an lie with their degree of twisting the facts.

Speaking of facts the McCain campaign, the GOP and to a much lesser degree the Obama campaign, and the DNC have given organizations like Fact Check dot org and others a whole new lease or tenure on life. The problem here is that not enough of the every day public read them; let alone on a daily basis. Nor has the everyday media given these reports sufficient play. Sorry I am drifting off point.

Bottom line I read THIS article completely and felt so much better, knowing that both McCain and the GOP were not going to grab hold of a suddenly appearing magic wand. That I in fact slept very well last night.

Thank you - Politico

Will the Supreme Court ruling effect the election

"The Supreme Court Puts Ideology Aside in Deciding a Small But Important Ohio Election Case that Could Affect the 2008 Presidential Election"
===========================================

I wanted to save this article to be able to look at it later. The importance of this case will be huge. First after the election and; secondly its effect on many Presidential elections.

Further will there be any additional actions, before or after the election regarding Ohio, or for that matter any other state.

In the endgame, metrics adding up for Obama

Several key factors don't look too good for McCain

What a wonderful op-ed to wake up to. It appears that Obama will win and that McCain has dug himself deeply into a hole named, I Lose.

A Billboard from Missouri & My Soap Box

With this billboard I am climbing up on my soap box.

This is the kind of terrible hatred that the far right is slinging around as the polls for Sen McCain, aka McSlime; keep going south.

I for one have had my fill or the Republican / McCain lie machine!

You do realize that Senator Obama's outstanding statesmen like actions are now showing in the polls of Virgina and West Virgina. To name only two, the Obama election is heading towards landslide numbers.

While the estimated numbers in Congress are so impressive that the Obama Biden team may end up entering the White House; with a Super Majority in both houses; the Senate and the House of Represenatives, a dream come true for at least 2 years. While the Senate is the most important to forestall, yee ol', filibusters and other tatacis that stop all bills from having their day on the floor as the Fathers of the Constitution planned.

Secretary of State Powell - What a gentlemen

Well the day is finally here. General Powell has come forward and has endorsed Sen Barrack Obama. He kindly spoke well of Sen McCain -- they are old friends (Gen Powell is an Republican) and quoted reasons that he has decided to at this point decided to say "I will vote for Senator Obama".

Against McCain he counted not in his order, The party going further right, The pick of Gov Palin. who is not ready to be commander in chief; The robo-calls on the Aryers matter and many others. Including his distress over McCains being all over the plate on the economic melt down.

He praised Sen Obama of his statesmanship steadiness, He agrees that Obama is indeed ready to assume the office of President and that of Commander and Chief.

Powell noted that McCain would be sad that he (Powell) let him down.

My view: I always thought that when he acquired enough facts he would in a most correct manner come out for one of them.

Further note that he clearly repeated that he does not want a position in the new administration. most willing to Advise but not be a Secetary eg. I bet he will be the White House in some position or a very often unofficial visitor.

Till next time, on this subject;

Respectfully;

Justices Rule Against Ohio G.O.P. in Voting Case

The "Republi-scums" indeed must be getting stone drunk over the Courts rule that they can not steal the election, in Ohio.

Now there's the threat to go to the Ohio state supreme court; which mounts an interesting question, what are they now up to now. Someone better have some emergency writs ready for the U.S. Supreme court.

There are funny games going on in other states too. So I hope there are many of us who blogg at Digg, Mixx, StumbleUpon; or any blogg you work with, that will keep their eyes open and broadcast anything they find anywhere at the blogg site(s) of their choice!!

The more eyes we have open looking out for stealing votes this very special election year is of the up most importance.

A dearest friend just texted me that now the republicans will accuse the Democrats of stealing the election. {I replied is the glass ever half full.}

Washington Post Endorses Obama

What great news

That the Washington Post waited till this point in time to make a formal endorsement in my view make it of higher value. They thought out and weighed everything said and done before extending this honor.

My thanks for the Washington Post and; Congratulations to Sen Obama.

N. Korea stirs the world's pot; worst timing

Right now the world is in the middle of an economic crisis not seen since the 1930's. The Executives of the world have their respective plate's full. The Unites States is close to a Presidential & Congressional election. As I said a full plate.

Along comes North Korea, who just backed down from resuming nuclear work - but got its name removed from the terror list. So what do they do to stay in the spotlight, and turn many more on? They threaten to break relations with South Korea, Yikes. A break in diplomatic relations is considered a serious action/event.

Forget not that the war between the two in the 1950's has never been officially ended, there is a Cease Fire.

Well I hope that we (the world Executive powers) all jump them and that might just include some covert talks by Senators' McCain and Obama [alpha order]. Tell them BOTH to cool it and say so in no uncertain terms -- but not publicly at this time. They (N. Korea) will have to save face. Weather we like that or not, that is how it is in that part of the world. That culture fact is way to often forgotten. We need to take the high road.

A SSDI Raise for 2009

Well at least we get a (annual) raise of more then a token amount for 2009; in fact it will be 5.8%

I was very surprised to find that my benefit is more then that is for most recipients. I wonder if being an SSDI (received benefits early due to disability) accounts for any change in the averages.

Alas now my saving and 401K are gone. I would not be in very bad shape if it was not for the MediCare Medi-Gap; which is a time period where there is no Prescription drug coverage! {I'll write on that in detail later, working on it.}

This MSNBC/AP article was a wonderful surprise to wake up to. :)

Transplants are a Cadillac

I am adding this link to George's review as he is one of my most respected reporters.

The comment I want to make [below] is an observation of mine of tonight's debate and not anything to do with Nightline or George Stephanopoulos' Op-Ed.

Did anyone else notice on Health Care that John McCain spoke of TRANSPLANTS being in the Cadillac category of Health Care. Senator McCain therefore you do not consider a Heart or Kidney transplant to be a norm but a luxury to Americans, if so, shame on you.
Another reason I am glad that I voted (already mailed my ballot) for Sen Obama!!

The Country {USA} is safe today

The Title says it all.

The country will be safe today with VP Cheney out of the White House today. Or at least the percentage's are better.

Well now I've done it, I created my own blog so I can post some thoughts I want to recall or for others to see. Still want to post to Mixx, Digg, & Stumble Upon etc, but darn I want to own some of them. To be able to go back to and relive etc.

To Whom Ever: Wish me luck.
